Student Assembly

Student Assembly

The challenge

Tribe Innovation worked with both Student Assembly and individual students to ideate on how Student Assembly can better communicate with the student body that they represent. The objective of this Sprint was encapsulated by this statement: How might we improve student perception and engagement of Student Assembly?

Design Thinking Process:

Create

Student Assembly came to TI to work on marketing and outreach for the organization. SA was able to determine that they were lacking engagement and communication with the student body, but needed further work to ideate and create solutions. During both workshops, facilitators took members of SA, as well as members of the student body, through the create phase of design thinking which included brainstorming, organizing, converging, and prototyping.

The RESULTS

In the end, this sprint created over 90 ideas to address the how might we statement. These ideas were then converged into 5 main solutions. These ideas ranged from reaching out to students in person through events rather than social media, as well as having more referendums and highlighting members of Student Assembly to connect the organization with students more. As a result of these workshops, students learned about the design thinking process and developed innovative solutions.
